I am absolutely thrilled with how our save the dates turned out, though let's be real – calling it an easy breezy process would be a stretch. It's been a hot minute since I shared on this blog, but if I can spare one bride the headache I went through, count me in. So, here's the lowdown on my do's, don'ts, wish-I-knew moments, and everything in between.

Kicking things off on a positive vibe, major shoutout to the three rockstar companies that brought my save the date dreams to life:

Truly Engaging for crafting the most stunning cards ever – opening them was a tearful moment, thanks to the love and care put into every detail.
Avery for delivering affordable labels that don't skimp on quality – a budget-friendly gem.
Uniqooo for the perfect finishing touch - wax seal stickers that deliver the charm of wax seals, minus the hassle. Click the photo below to shop my Amazon affiliate link.
Before turning to Truly Engaging and Avery, I tried another popular printing company, and despite glowing reviews, my experience was far from satisfactory. Two batches of save the dates arrived, and both times I was taken aback by the lack of quality control – think jagged corners, off-center photos, & blurry labels. Lesson learned: Go with the pros! Not all printing companies have the capacity to craft beautiful invitations. No need to name names, but sticking with Truly Engaging is a solid choice for a smooth experience.

TIP: Keep a close eye on their website before purchasing your Save the Dates; they frequently roll out fantastic deals.

Here's What I Did:

♥ DESIGN I knew what I wanted my save the dates to look like, so I used Canva to create a 5x7 design, both front and back.
♥ PRINT I uploaded my design to Truly Engaging, made my paper & envelope selections, and they were delivered in about a week in the cutest packaging ever!
♥ ADDRESS Truly Engaging offers an envelope addressing service which I will definitely use for our wedding invites, but for our save the dates I created address stickers on Avery. It was easy, affordable, & they came out beautifully.
♥ FINISHING TOUCH I found these adorable wax seal stickers on Amazon and they are the perfect finishing touch.

Do's & Don'ts

DO create a spreadsheet with all your guests' addresses; it can be saved as a CSV and effortlessly uploaded to most websites for labels, envelopes, etc.

DO stick to the standard 5x7 cards or 4x6 postcards. Anything square, oversized, or overweight (like magnets) will incur higher shipping costs.

DON’T wait until last minute to order your save the dates. I had to order mine 3 times before getting it right.

That's a wrap for now! Stay tuned for more do's and don'ts, or leave a comment with your questions & feedback.
